GSE provided a specialist team of service engineers to repair failed ‘Ruston RK 270’ main engines onboard the T&T Spirit operated by the Port Authorities of Trinidad and Tobago.

Following major in-service main engine breakdowns in June 2017, the Vessel ‘T&T Spirit was taken out of service to complete breakdown repairs to its Stbd Outer & Port Inner main engines.

Extensive repair works were carried out to replace the Crankshaft on the Stbd side main engine and carry out specialist In-situ repair to the Entablature block and Crankshaft on the Port side main engine.

Working in conjunction with OEM Suppliers, the Vessel was returned to service in April 2018, following DNV acceptance trails.
